Promotion Ts & Cs (“Rules”):

  1. This promotional competition (“Promotion”) is run by VALR Pty Ltd (“VALR”).
  2. This offer may be used in conjunction with any other competition or promotion run by VALR, except where the terms of such other competition or promotion prohibits or excludes winning in this current Promotion. 
  3. The Promotion begins at 00:00 am UTC, April 15th 2025 and ends at 23:59 pm UTC, May 16th 2025 (“closing date”).
  4. This Promotion is available to new VALR customers who sign up for a VALR account using the referral code VA***** , and complete their KYC2 (Fully-verified status) on VALR during the Promotion Period as well existing VALR customers who already have a fully verified account or who fully verify their account during the Promotion Period and register their alias with BankerX on the designated Google form, available on BankerX channels.
  5. Registration for this Promotion is not necessary except for registering your alias with BankerX on the designated Google form available on BankerX channels where applicable, and this Promotion is available to all qualifying Participants, save for those excluded from participating in this Promotion in accordance with these Rules.
  6. Winners will be announced within 7 South African business days after the closing date.
  7. Rewards will be distributed within 7 South African business days after the closing date.
  8. Reward winners may also be highlighted in VALR marketing emails such as newsletters and on VALR’s social media pages.
  9. Winners will be notified via push notification through the VALR app upon receiving a reward, provided notifications have not been disabled.
  10. Any decisions regarding reward payouts will be made by VALR in its sole and absolute discretion and the Participant agrees to accept any decision made by VALR in terms of the Promotion as final and binding.
  11. Mystery gifts shall be decided at random by VALR in its sole and absolute discretion. VALR makes no representations or warranties regarding the mystery gift, including but not limited to its fitness for a particular purpose or customer.
  12. Rewards are not guaranteed, may differ per Participant and promotional activity, could amount to zero and are distributed on both a qualifying and/or first-come, first-served basis.

 

Eligibility:

  1. If you do not yet have a VALR account, Sign up on VALR using the VA***** Referral Code and fully verify your account during the Promotion Period.
  2. If you already have a VALR account, ensure that the account is fully verified and register your alias with BankerX on the designated Google form available on BankerX channels.

Reward Specifics

  1. The first 50 new users who sign up using the referral code VA***** and fully verify their account will each receive $10 worth of Bitcoin.  
  2. The next 150 new users who sign up using the referral code VA****** and fully verify their account will each receive $5 worth of Bitcoin.   
  3. Any newly referred users who sign up for a VALR account using the referral code VA***** and who fully verify their account, will receive a mystery gift which may include trading fee discounts and rewards of up to $500 worth of Bitcoin.
  4. New referred users who sign up for a VALR account using the referral code VA***** and, fully verify their account during the Promotion Period-, or existing VALR customers who already have a fully verified account or who fully verify their account during the Promotion Period and register their alias with BankerX on the designated Google form available on BankerX channels-; and and who trade on Simple Buy/Sell, Spot, or Futures will compete for a share of $2,500 in Bitcoin
    1. Minimum trade volume required to be eligible over the Promotion Period for Simple Buy/Sell, Spot, Spot Margin is $5,000 and $10,000 for Futures.
    2. Eligible traders will be ranked by their total trade volume. 
    3. Max reward of $500 in Bitcoin per Participant.
  5. Rewards are paid out in Bitcoin only.

 

Personal information: 

Any personal information provided to VALR by a Participant for purposes of this Promotion will be treated in accordance with VALR’s Privacy Policy.

 The nitty gritty:
1. The Promotion is open to all VALR customers, except VALR’s directors, partners, employees, contractors, agents, consultants and their immediate families, any designated market makers as well as any persons resident in VALR’s list of prohibited countries. 

2. Participation by all Participants constitutes acceptance of these Rules, VALR’s Terms of Service, VALR’s Futures Terms of Service and Risk Disclosures. By entering the Promotion, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility criteria and you agree to accept that VALR may make decisions relating to this Promotion in its sole and absolute discretion and further that any decision made by VALR in terms of these Rules and the Promotion as final and binding including but not limited to any decisions regarding rewards, the reward pool and reward payouts. Any Participants found violating this clause will be removed from the Promotion and VALR may freeze or block such Participant's VALR account.

3. For the purposes of this Promotion, each day will be considered to run from 00:00 - 23:59 UTC.

4. VALR reserves the right at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to determine and/or amend or vary the Rules and the Promotion without prior notice, including but not limited to cancelling, extending, terminating or suspending the Promotion, the Rules, the rewards, the reward parameters, the reward pool, the eligibility terms and criteria, the selection and/or number of rewards or winners.

5. VALR reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any Participants from participating in the Promotion and claiming rewards or disqualifying specific trades:

5.1. Where VALR finds the Participant to be party to any anticipated, suspected or actual:

  • Fraud;
  • Inappropriate, dishonest or abusive activities;
  • Use of fake or fraudulent accounts; 
  • Manipulation or violation of these Rules, or
  • Market manipulation, self-dealing, wash trading or illegally bulk registered accounts; or

5.2. For any other reason as determined by VALR.

6. If you are selected as a reward winner, you agree and consent to VALR publishing your name, your VALR reference number / tag and/or social media handle on VALR’s social media pages, and VALR may make media announcements, publications of names, photographs of any reward winner(s), provided that any reward winner(s) may expressly elect to decline this.

7. VALR will announce on its social media pages when the Promotion has ended. No further rewards will be awarded once VALR has made such an announcement. The Participant should visit VALR’s social media pages regularly for updates. 

8. These Rules will be governed and interpreted in accordance with South African law and any disputes arising from the Promotion will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

Waiver

The Participant hereby releases, waives and discharges VALR and its affiliates from any and all liability, costs or expenses, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever for any loss or damages, that may be sustained by the Participant arising out of or relating to the Participant’s participation in the Promotion, or while in any way engaged with activities related to the Promotion, wherever, whenever, or however the same may occur, regardless of who is at fault and including as a result of the negligence or fault of VALR or its affiliates.
