We will always broker your simple trade at the best price we can get when procuring the cryptocurrency or fiat you wish to obtain. That’s why the amount you see may fluctuate, even on the confirmation screen.
In financial markets, live market prices always fluctuate due to the forces of supply and demand. The cryptocurrency markets are no different and are generally much more volatile than traditional asset classes such as stocks, bonds and foreign exchange.
Some trading platforms lock in a stable price for you for a period of time before you confirm your trade. To do this, they add a margin (also known as a spread) to the live market price to insulate them against any price movements. As a result, you get a worse price than the live market price.
At VALR we believe our customers should get the best available price at the time of their trade. This is why we stream the live real-time market price to you, even as you confirm your trade. We are clear and transparent about the fees we charge. The amount you see quoted in our Simple Buy/Sell screen is net of our brokerage margin. We will always execute your trade at the best live market price available to us.
