As a cryptocurrency exchange, VALR connects buyers and sellers of cryptocurrency with each other.
The order book
People looking to sell bitcoin specify the amount and the price at which they’d like to sell. All these requests, known as ‘orders’, are placed in a common ledger, called the ‘order book.’
Trading
When a person wants to buy bitcoin, they either look for a satisfactory offer in the order book or, if no order is available for the amount of bitcoin they would like to buy, they create their own ‘buy order’. Whenever possible, the exchange matches buy and sell orders by price and processes the trades.
Fee structure
In order to provide this service in a secure and efficient way, VALR charges a small fee. You can learn about our fees here.
VALR doesn't trade for you
Please note that VALR cannot ever facilitate trades on your behalf, we only provide a platform that you can use to trade on your own behalf.
