Depositing funds with MoonPay
With support for 34 FIAT currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, and more), MoonPay makes your crypto funding journey effortless.
Steps to deposit:
1. Log in to your VALR account
2. Go to the 'Deposit Funds' section
3. Select your desired FIAT currency
4. Choose 'Card via MoonPay Account' as your deposit method
5. Continue to MoonPay to complete the purchase of USDC
6. Follow the MoonPay instructions to finalize your deposit
7. The USDC will be credited to your VALR wallet once the transaction is complete.
Important: When you deposit with MoonPay, you'll receive USDC in your VALR wallet, which you can then use to buy crypto.
Buying Crypto with MoonPay
Buy crypto with your debit/credit card, and MoonPay delivers it directly to your VALR wallet.
Steps to buy crypto:
1. Log in to your VALR account
2. Go to the 'Buy/Sell' section
3. Choose the cryptocurrency you want to buy
4. Select 'Credit Card via Moonpay' as your payment method
5. Click 'Go to MoonPay'. If you're new to MoonPay, you'll need to create an account and complete KYC
6. Follow the MoonPay instructions to finalize your purchase
7. Your purchased crypto will land in your VALR wallet. This can take up to 30 minutes or longer
8. Be on the lookout for emails from MoonPay confirming your purchase.

When you deposit with MoonPay, you'll get a quote (within the MoonPay interface) showing the amount you'll receive and the fees you'll pay. This quote updates every 10 seconds and includes:
- Network fee: This covers the cost of transferring your crypto and can vary depending on network congestion.
- Ecosystem fee: 0.5% (charged by VALR).

(ii) Maximum fee: Up to 4.5% of the transaction amount
(iii) Note: Fees are determined by MoonPay and are subject to change based on the selected payment method and purchase value.
4. What payment methods does MoonPay accept?

5. How long does it take for my purchase to be completed?
MoonPay should complete your order within 30 minutes, but sometimes it can take longer if MoonPay needs to run any extra checks or if you're buying crypto on a blockchain that's seeing delays. MoonPay will let you know if that's the case via email. Note that for SEPA/UK Faster Payments, orders can take up to 4 days.
6. What if my MoonPay transaction fails or I don't receive my crypto?
