How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA) using an Authenticator app? – VALR Help Center

To set up an App based 2FA, you can follow the below steps.

Login to your VALR account.
Go to Security settings (by clicking on "≡" menu on the top right corner and then clicking on Security):
Under Two-Factor Authentication click on the Use an App button.
Enter the OTP sent to your cell phone number.
Download and open the Authenticator app on your mobile device.
Click "Add new account" (or the "+" plus sign) in your authenticator app.
Using the Authenticator app, scan the QR code shown on your security settings page (or enter the secret key available on your security settings page). This links your mobile device to your account.
Enter the code that appears in your app.
Write down your 2FA recovery code and keep it somewhere safe. This will help you if you lose access to your device with the 2FA app or change the device.
Click on Activate button to enable the 2FA.
Your 2FA has now been enabled.

Login to your VALR account.
Go to Security settings (by clicking on your Profile Name on the top right corner and then clicking on Security):
Click on the Two-Factor Authentication and Toggle the option from SMS to APP.
Enter the OTP sent to your cell phone number.
Download and open the Authenticator app on your mobile device.
