Kindly note that cross-border payments to Namibia, eSwatini, and Lesotho through the South African BankServ EFT system are prohibited due to regulatory changes by the South African Reserve Bank.
This means that we will no longer be able to process EFT deposits from or withdrawals through the South African BankServ EFT system to your Namibian, eSwatini, or Lesotho bank account.
You can still deposit funds via SWIFT. However, we are unable to process fiat withdrawals to your Namibian, Eswatini, or Lesotho bank account.
Note:
- When depositing into your VALR account, always ensure to transfer funds from a bank account registered in your name.
- Always use your unique reference number, starting with VR******, as the beneficiary reference. Failure to use this reference number will delay the allocation of your funds.
- To make sending funds to your VALR account easier, please consider creating a beneficiary for VALR on your online banking profile.
- VALR is registered as a pre-approved beneficiary with Standard Bank South Africa, meaning you can search for VALR when creating the beneficiary on your banking app.
- Your funds may take up to 48 hours to clear in our bank account. This timeline may change due to Public Holidays and weekends. The bank imposed this limitation.
- If you use Standard Bank, you can create a DigiMe profile using the Standard Bank App, which may make your deposits clear faster.
- Our system flags deposits of the same amount sent within 24 hours for review. If you prefer to send deposits of the same value, changing the amount by even 1 cent will help allocate your deposits speedily.
