Deposits from Standard Bank to Standard Bank should reflect near immediate except where Standard Bank themselves have delayed a transaction under their own policies, while deposits from other banks can take up to 48 business hours to reflect.
As soon as your money reaches your VALR account, you'll receive an email notification from us.
When depositing money into your VALR account, remember to use your unique VR deposit reference number as the recipient reference. Otherwise, our system won't recognize that you've made the deposit.
To find your unique reference you can follow the below steps:
1) Sign in to your VALR account.
2) Click on "Deposit ZAR" on your Wallets page.
3) Select the bank you will make a deposit from.
4) You will be shown VALR's banking details (this is where you will need to send your ZAR). You will also be shown your unique reference number that you must use as your payment reference.
A few things to remember:
- Only deposit money from your bank account that is in your name.
- Please only reach out to us if you've waited longer than 48 hours for your deposit to arrive.
- If you think you might have used an incorrect unique VR reference number, attach your proof of payment and your unique VR reference number and send it to our Support Team.
